Happy to report that my Mom is doing well, and we’re all happy she is back home again!
I ran some errands this afternoon, and drove home via Beacon Hill Park, a beautiful green space just outside of downtown. I ended up finding some beautiful plants and trees, TONS of “creatures” both wandering/swimming around, and in the petting zoo. Yup, I went in, you’re never too old to go and see some farm animals. Wanna come with me to the park?
Check out what was on the log. I think they’re cute, and may warrant the first “awww” of the post….
Doesn’t it look like this duck is being sucked into a vortex? He was not…
This is quite the “swagger”. More “awwwws”….
A few shots from the chicken/turkey coop in the petting zoo. For the record, I don’t think turkey’s are awwww worthy. (except at Christmas dinner! HA!!!! Just kidding!)
I have NO idea what the little white pom pom chicken is doing, but it certainly startled the rooster…
This Alpacha is named “Donny Osmond”. No sign of Marie….
I will bore you with several photos of peacocks. Aren’t they spectacular????
This one was going on his break….
And we can caption this one “OMG!!!!!”
AND….quite the shaking of the tail feathers went on. I wonder if it was because I had a blue jacket on, and the peacock confused me for a rather tall, blonde peahen? Nah…
Meanwhile, over at the goat pen…..Maybe this one should be captioned “nothing to read here…..carry on!”
Get ready for some SERIOUS “awwws” There were a bunch of kids playing (four legged and two). The youngest little goat was only a few days old. AWWWWW!!!!!!
(next two posted with Mom’s permission….)
And now….VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED……
There was a whole lotta flapping going on in the duck pond….
But then I saw these “bun head” ducks getting really physical, I assumed there was some territorial thing, but no big deal….
But then, I realized, they weren’t fighting at all, they were making mini bun heads. It was QUITE the performance, and I felt a bit “dirty” taking photos, but it really was fascinating…
…and apparently, it was pretty good, because happy dancing followed.
Hope that didn’t offend.
On the way out of the park, I saw some wind surfers. They made it look easy…
And to wrap up today’s post…the “heart gallery”. Some are obvious, others need your imagination.
Have a great Friday everyone!!!
