Hi All! So many thanks for all the good wishes and energy sent to my Mom. She’s still in hospital, will be for a few days, but all in all, is on the road to recovery. The plan right now is for me to be here for a couple more days, home for a few days, then back here to help out when she is discharged…again. That said, we’re taking things a day at a time, and of course I’ll be posting updates.
Before we went down to the hospital today, I whipped out for a beach walk.
The tide was WAY out, it was pretty chilly, but it was a nice walk. I’ve also made some new friends and will be emailing pictures to various dog owners I met along the beach. I didn’t realize this beach was an off leash park, there were tons of them, and they were having so much fun. And I had lots of fun chatting to their owners and taking photos. Here are just a few of my favorites (and my favorite dogs)
Sad Chester lost his ball – that face is priceless….
Happy Chester found a rock instead….
Happy Dia before he slipped on the seaweed. Dia was happy no matter what though. Aww…
Dia, Chester and their friend “Chuck”. Yup, the dog’s name is Chuck….
Chuck was huge, but bounced around like a tiny puppy. He may look mean, but he was just a big old softie…..
And a sweet little Westie who’s name I didn’t find out.
Finally, someone needed to be toweled off before getting in the car. Cute!
Dogs weren’t the only things on the beach. There was the standard seaweed, barnacles, shells and rocks….
I didn’t find many daily hearts….just this seaweed. Bit of a stretch, I know.
I managed to get a shot of these little fish that were in the tidal pools. They are really fast little movers….
Crows were having a field day looking for food in the tidal pools….
More deceased crabs….in “make your own crab kit” form, and moved into good light for photos. No crabs were harmed in the making of this blog. :)
And on the way home, I saw these deer. AWWWW!!!!! (quite the contortion on the one grooming it’s own back)
I’m off. Hope everyone is well!!!!
