Today’s Photo A Day Challenge prompt was “I’m loving…”. I went back and forth on this one, and settled on “I’m loving my new little tattoo, and being a self proclaimed ‘bad ass’.” I didn’t think I’d love my little “expression of individuality” as much as I do…
For anyone interested, this is the “namaste/ohm” after the touch up. It’s still healing from the touch up, but voila! And voila, my arm hair too. Thank you sunrise!! :)
Today has been an out and about day. We started off with some back bacon ends from the deli, scrambed eggs, toasted Little Big Bread with jam, and some green juice.
After breakfast, I went out and ran a bunch of errands. One of those errands was a stop at the pet store for Neva’s food. Wow…not only did I get her dry food, I got photos of a rabbit agility contest. Oh my. Gotta say, the bunnies were VERY cute, very soft and I held one. Hey Neva….want a bunny friend??? Just kidding….and her face says “no”.
But here are some shots of the rabbits….
Later in the day, Dennis and I took advantage of the spring-like sunshine and took a walk around Trout Lake Park. We like it there, because there is a BIG off leash area for dogs, and it is fun to watch them play. Today, the dogs were out in force and were having a great time. Some of these photos look like they’re fighting, but it was all play….
Meanwhile, in the duck area and the rest of the park…..
Dad, Doris or any other bird lovers….what kind of duck is this black one with a white beak?
Music and love were in the air….
..as was the smell of new spring growth and life…we are so lucky to have spaces like this to spend an hour or so in after a busy day.
When we got home, I had a few flatbread crackers and a glass of red wine…
..dinner tonight was pork tenderloin baked with black bean sauce, roasted asparagus with lemon and Parmesan and sauteed quinoa with kale and tomato.
…and we finished off the grapefruit granita. Tonight, I added a splash of pomegranate juice, just for a bit of colour.
That is a wrap for the weekend. HOW do they fly by so quickly?? What was going on this weekend in YOUR neck of the woods? Hope this last week of March is a good one for all!!
