Today’s Photo A Day Challenge prompt is “Cut”. I was out for a walk today, saw a gardener cutting back some plants, and asked her if I could take a photo of the shears in action.
Today’s menu collage includes warm granola cereal with almond milk and a banana (I was given a sample last week), I had a mango and some green juice during the morning, lunch was a piece of savory cauliflower cake that I made last night (see below), a cold turkey sausage and some tzatsiki, later on I had an apple and 1 tbsp peanut butter. Dinner tonight was salmon with light mayo and Parmesan with roasted vegetables and brown rice.
The cauliflower cake was delicious, I will absolutely make it again. The recipe is from this month’s Eating Well magazine, and can be seen here.
We had fog and ice this morning, so my walk to work was a little slick….
This patch of grass with ice bears an uncanny resemblance to a macro shot of my legs. HA! Note to self: spring is coming! Buy a new razor! :)
The ice droplets on the trees had frozen with very interesting patterns and bubbles.
…but by lunchtime, the sun had come out and the snow was melting.
I saw birds in trees and birds on the water….
…and not just birds that fly….
..this bird was having a dumpster feast, but I liked the way the colour of the building behind looked…
I felt a little reflective…
It will be interesting to see what becomes of this piece of public art….
Finally, the half igloo that I photographed and posted last night has been completed, and tonight, it is a whole igloo…
…that got the Pizap treatment to show it’s shock of melting already. silly…
On that note, I’m going to call it a night. I’ll be back tomorrow…..
