Today’s Photo A Day Challenge prompt is “The Rule of Thirds”. I think this photo that I took a couple of weeks ago follows the rule. The ground takes the bottom third, the imaginary line of the right separates the two girls, and the top line would run from the tip of the girl on the right’s head and runs across the top.
As I expected, the scale did move up since I was last at weight watchers. But not by much…and I know by next week the scale will show love again.
After weigh in, I went to a sweaty power yoga class. Day 4 of 40…check! I had about half an hour to kill before class, so did a quick walk around Granville Island, a big public market close by. It was PACKED…but I got some shots of flowers, seafood, native artwork and the cement works.
When I got home, breakfast, lunch and a snack were a smoothie (with almond milk, banana and frozen strawberries), a bagel thin with light cream cheese, ham and balsamic reduction and a pack of weight watchers ginger snaps.
My cloud obsession continues….and I took photos this afternoon from our deck, and while in transit. (I was in the passenger seat….no photos were taken while driving)
Where were we driving? We spent a lovely evening tonight with our friends Christine and Dave, their daughter McKenzie and their menagerie. Christine, Dennis and I all worked for the same company YEARS ago….we’ve all moved on to other ventures, but keep in touch. Christine has moved on to a career as a wine writer...check out her blog here!
Here are Christine and Dave, as drawn by McKenzie.
I think it’s a great likeness. (McKenzie’s face in this shot cracks me up)
Christine and her little “Mini Me”.
Seriously, could a little girl be ANY cuter???? Those curls and her lovely little outgoing personality? ….made my ovaries twinge a little and it takes a pretty special child for that to happen to this happily childless woman.
Too bad she’s too big for me to sneak home in my purse! Kidding of course, but we became pretty fast friends.
Puddles? They’re meant to walk through. Who needs shoes???
We also became fast friends with Muriel and Murphy, their labs.
Dishy the fishy was less friendly, but no less colourful. And his curly fins look like blue kale to me.
My husband is handsome. We move on….
We had some lovely Pino Grigio with appetizers (yummy cranberry goat cheese and crackers0
Dinner was grilled pork tenderloin with zucchini, rice and greek salad. Terrible photo, delicious dinner.
I had a glass of red wine with dinner, and oops….forgot to take a picture.
We took our “go to” dessert….Gina’s No Bake cheesecake in a bowl not a crust.
Thanks Christine and Dave, we had a lovely time.
That’s our Saturday. How is YOUR weekend going???
