VERY pleased to report that all the prep and studying paid off, and today, I became a certified level 2 Occupational First Aid Attendant. I have never put so much effort into something I hope I never use…but am very happy to have it done.
I’m also working in an environment that will likely to see nothing more severe an injury than a paper cut or a rogue staple through a nail….but we now meet worksafe requirements and knowing life saving techniques is a good skill to have no matter what.
The written portion of the exam was this morning, the practical was all afternoon. Between the two exams, I took a little walk to distance myself from it all for a while.
We had HUGE rains last night….which left residual raindrops.
No denying autumn is arriving quickly.
And what does rain and cooler weather mean? MUSHROOMS, TOADSTOOLS and other funky fungi!!!!
It also means slugs are on the pathways.
Speaking of pathways, I loved this bike stand that was on one of them….
…and the curve of the train tracks overhead.
And to wrap, here is a quick day’s menu recap. Breakfast was toast with peanut butter and banana, lunch was ham in a bun with grapes, and dinner was tortellini with light alfredo, Parmesan, 1 tsp pesto and a bun. And I had a big glass of white wine alongside.
I have fallen behind in my 40 day yoga challenge already, so have some catching up to do later in the week. Tomorrow is a special day in the weighting for 50 household, so no promises I’ll be back to normal ’till Wednesday. Have the toadstools started popping up in your neck of the woods? Has fall arrived?
