Today’s Photo A Day Challenge prompt is ‘corridor’. I thought this one would be easy, but I was wrong, corridors aren’t that easy to find and photograph. There were lots of foyers, paths, and lane ways…but this was the best I could find. A corridor, that opens into a second corridor.
Today’s relatively point friendly menu was Little Big Bread with light cheddar and hard boiled eggs for breakfast, plums during the morning, a “clean out the fridge” salad for lunch, then a veggie burger and salad for dinner. More on the “extras” at dinner in a bit…
I was up and out in the POURING rain this morning to get to the 6;00am Vinyasa Flow class. Namaste!
After work (the rain was long gone), I took the train downtown to meet my friends Janice and Karen to celebrate Karen’s recent birthday. I don’t get downtown all that often, so it is always fun (as long as you don’t drive and have to find a) a parking spot and b) a parking spot that doesn’t cost as much as the dinner itself). Here are some old and new buildings….
…stone and cement artwork in fountains, neither of which were working today.
I love Grumpy Cat but don’t think I’d wear this shirt. For the record, I don’t think I’d wear the red “boy shorts” either.
..aromatherapy on the street….
…and this pole caught my eye. Why? It had THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of staples/nails/pins in it. I’m guessing it’ll have new ‘signage’ attached to it by tomorrow.
Karen and I were the first at the restaurant, so we each ordered a Bellini to celebrate her birthday.
The Bellinis came with ‘toys’, Karen got a bull, I got a drunken mermaid who was in the drink head first.
Note to self: If you haven’t had a lot to eat for hours, if it is humid and you are likely a bit dehydrated, if you are a little tired…..do NOT suck back the Bellini at warp speed. No matter how it tastes like a harmless slushie, no matter how cold and delicious it is, it is boozier than it tastes, and you will feel faint, queasy and accidentally drunk if you do so. sigh. oops! Thankfully I had a couple of glasses of ice water and felt better in no time. (I like the term “accidentally drunk”. I’ve only just been introduced to it. “Accidentally naked” can apparently follow! )
Happy Birthday Karen!!!!
and after I sobered up from my one boozy drink we walked down to the new and HUMUNGOUS Victoria’s Secret store, that just opened yesterday. The place was PACKED. Just outside, someone had done some funky chalk art on the sidewalk.
Tomorrow, one of the real VS Angels will be strutting around….
But why wait for tomorrow when there are “Angels in our own minds” strutting around today! HA!
Gotta love the “earn your wings” photo stand in the store! We took full advantage!
Time to call it a night. Signed, Angel Roz
