Last day of February!  How did I do on the February Goals I set for myself on February 1st?

#1 – lose at least 5 lbs. – CHECK!  I actually lost that the first weigh in of the month, so I lost that 5, then 3 more.

#2 – Get back to regular yoga – If the word “regular” wasn’t there, I could write “check” but I did yoga a total of 3 times and I don’t consider that regular, so NO CHECK! BUT…I’m making baby steps (and child poses) toward it.

#3 – Purge my closet of clothes I’ll never wear again and donate them (I admit, I’m a bit of a pack rat) – NO CHECK, though I did throw away some old magazines.  Still…this one needs work.

#4 – make sure I laugh every day, hug a lot, and enjoy the process along the way – Check most days.  I certainly had moments of “non laughter” but I tried every day, gave and received plenty of hugs and did my best to enjoy the process.  I’m going to give myself a CHECK for this one.

On to March goals tomorrow.

I have officially exceeded my day’s/week’s points today, but had a good reason why.  You’ll see in a sec.

I was on track at breakfast with a bagel thin, light cream cheese and slices of “slimcado”. (and I’ve only just noticed that Toro the bull has a broken horn)

I had half a cup of greek yogurt with some blueberries during the morning.

Lunch was 1 oz prosciutto with 2 mini sandwich thins, more slimcado, this time mashed with salsa, carrots and celery.

During the afternoon, I had a banana.

And the point derail?  Cousin Helen hosted a table of 10 at the Annual Meals on Wheels Fundraiser.  (NOW the title makes sense, right?) We had wine, and an 11 course Chinese banquet.  Wow.  Meals on Wheels does such great work in the community.  It was great to be there and see how much support they were given.

Here are a few photos from the night. I like this photo of Helen.

There was a live art work that was painted during the event.  Here is the very early stages, and the final product.  (which sold in the live auction, and the buyer gave it back to a respite centre that is associated with the charity)
