Its pretty late, so I’ll give you a quick Thursday recap.

Breakfast this morning was a sandwich thin with peanut butter and a banana.  And the cutest new mascot that I found in a thrift store a couple of weeks ago.

During the morning, I had an orange.  Did I mention how cute the new mascot is? :)

I looked in the fridge this morning as I was going to make lunch, and felt incredibly uninspired by all the groceries in there.  So I just went to the salad bar for lunch, and got greens with a hard boiled egg, 2 potstickers and fat free balsamic.

During the afternoon I had an apple and almonds.

Cousin Helen came over for dinner tonight.  We started out with some apricot stilton cheese, figs, crackers and some lobster pate that was in a basket we got at Christmas.

Helen brought some lovely Malbec for us.  Thanks Helen! Cheers.

Neva worked her “cute”, and managed to get both Dennis and Helen to give her a little lobster pate from their fingers.  Lucky kitty.

Dinner tonight was compliments of our friend Vicky, who is from Mexico.  She very kindly made us some authentic chicken tacos.  I put out some salsas as well.  Thank you Vicky!!!  We don’t often get authentic Mexican food here in Vancouver.

Neva was trying to get my attention during dinner and was flipping on the floor beside my chair.  Sorry Neva, you had the pate, so no chicken for you!  And yes, your belly is very “tickle-able”.

I picked up some mini pastries at the bakery for dessert.  We were very full from the tacos, so didn’t get through too many.

Helen and Dennis had a little scotch with dessert.

When I drove Helen home, I took a night shot of the amazing display of snowdrops that are in bloom in her yard.  Spring IS coming!!!

On that happy springy note, I’ll close off, hit publish and call it a night.  Bring on Friday and the weekend!!
