We’ve had a bit of an unusual day here in the weightingfor50 household. I only worked this morning, and took the afternoon off to take care of Dennis, who had some oral surgery this morning. He’s doing well, but is very medicated and has to take it easy for a couple of days. Do you remember those PSA’s many years ago with a pan saying “this is your brain” and then they break and fry and egg and say “this is your brain on drugs?”. Well, this is my husband on drugs..he looks pretty fresh considering.
Before that hoopla, I had a sandwich thin with 1 tbsp peanut butter and a banana for breakfast.
I met Melisa for a quick coffee during the morning and had a skinny vanilla latte. Starbucks? Could you PLEASE get almond milk soon? Thank you for your attention!
I had an orange when I got back to my desk. It wore my reading glasses well.
I did some running around after I got Dennis settled at home, and grabbed a brown rice tuna and vegetable roll and a sunomono salad. The salad was delicious, the sushi was only “ok”.
I made us both smoothies with almond milk, banana and blackberries.
Dinner tonight was just a few leftovers and things in the fridge. I had the last of the beet/orange salad from last night (not pretty the second day, but really good), some cold nugget potatoes with tzatsiki, baked eggplant “chips” with greek yogurt mixed with shallot and some leftover chicken.
Dennis is on “softs” for a couple of days, so while I was out I picked up some orange/passionfruit sorbet. I will have a bit too.
Neva will NOT be having sorbet.
Tomorrow should be a more “normal” day around here. I’m off for sorbet….more tomorrow.
