Happy Friday! (sorry for the title with little imagination today)
Before I get into today’s menu, I have a couple of photos to share. We have a BEAUTIFUL Ukrainian church in the neighborhood, I walked by it the other night and took these shots.
I LOVE floodlit buildings, I wish more buildings and their stained glass windows were illuminated more often.
On another note, Neva can’t quite get her mind around these valentine’s day balloons we have around our home. (thanks Dennis!) She’s been stalking them off and on all day, and we’ve witnessed much circling, dabbing and whacking. Crazy cat!
But on to the day. NOT the most point friendly day, it’s a good thing I’m not “stepping on” at my weight watchers meeting tomorrow. You’ll see why then…
Breakfast this morning was two pieces of Little Big bread with 2 scrambled egg whites and 1/4 avocado. (and hot sauce)
During the morning I had 1/2 cup blueberries, a handful of pomegranate seeds and a small greek yogurt.
I met my “former work husband” (he and I used to work closely together, he’s moved on to greener pastures but we’re still friends) David for lunch today. We went for Chinese food. So good, so not really point friendly.
We started out with some soup….
…and split an order of Shanghai Noodles and ginger beef. David wanted to make the beef picture look like a “business lunch” hence, his Blackberry in the shot, and his hand in the Noodle shot is to compete with Michelle’s Wednesday hand. I have silly and fun friends….
We finished off with a little mango ice cream.
When I got home from work, Dennis and I had a glass of white wine.
We’d both had big lunches, so just had soup and grilled cheese for dinner.
The soup is compliments of my fellow Canadian blogger Spunky Suzi. Suzi acquired a coupon for a free container of Happy Planet soup. It’s not available in her region, so she contacted me and sent me the coupon for us to use. (Trivia: The Happy Planet company was actually started by our current Vancouver mayor and his business partner) THANK YOU SO MUCH SUZI!!!!
OK, off to prep for tomorrow. What is happening tomorrow? Come back then and find out.
Have a good weekend everyone!!
