…I’ll be spending Valentine’s Day tomorrow with my true love!!
HA! Just kidding Dennis! (but I do truly love my camera!)
I’m really lucky that the store my parents bought it has a branch here, and it’s close to where I work. I slipped out during the morning, and voila. Fixed! They’re actually not sure WHY or how it went “wonky” but all connections are cleaned, all settings have returned to where they were when I got it, and I’m up and running again! I was so happy and grateful I actually agreed to marry the woman who helped me. Sorry ’bout that too Dennis!
AND, while I was there, I signed up for a free two-hour photography workshop next Tuesday. I have a lot to learn! I’ll need more than 2 hours, but its a good start.
The scenario above meant that this morning, I had to photograph Michelle’s famous hand with my phone.
And I ate breakfast at my desk, a bagel thin, light cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers. (clearly I don’t have the “knack” of the camera phone)
But by the time I had my hard-boiled egg for my morning snack, all was better in my world.
I was supposed to meet my friend Sally for lunch today, but couldn’t make it, so made myself a lunch with a few items I got at the grocery store today. (a Little Big Bread sandwich with prosciutto and some cucumber)
I’ve discovered how to make chai at home and have it later in the day. I put a cup of almond milk in a jar, add some chai spice (from the Indian market Kathy and I went to last Friday) and a chai tea bag, and leave it in the fridge for a few hours. I can either have it cold or hot.
No additional words needed on this shot.
I’m also trying to up my water consumption, have taken this jar to work and have 4 jars full every day. (2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon) If I have a lime or lemon in the fridge, I take it with me to perk up the water a little.
During the afternoon, I had 1 oz wensleydale cheese with cranberry (yup, I weighed it) and an apple.
Dennis and I were ships passing in the night again tonight. I’ve literally bolted home, and am off again. I grabbed some hummus and crackers before I left. Definitely not a well balanced meal, I know. (and there will be an explanation of the crackers tomorrow)
Sorry for the quick post. I’ll leave tonight with a thought for the day….and will be back tomorrow!

Thank goodness it was an easy fix for the camera. A class will be so helpful. I just use a point and shoot but one day I would love to have a fancier camera.
Now about all those post it notes…

You’re too funny! Wow, an ounce of cheese is a bit depressing, no?

Hooray for your camera being fixed! I’ve had my camera almost TWO years and I still don’t know how to work more than 10% of its capabilities. I’ve seen some Groupon’s online for a 4 hour class, but even discounted it’s a $50 class – maybe I’ll save up some of my souper Friday $$ and buy one!
