I have SOME pictures from today, but hmm….my dslr decided not to autofocus tonight and just isn’t functioning properly.  I have had it such a short time, if it is a hiccup I’ll be covered, but still…..grrrr.  I’ll take it in tomorrow and see what has happened.  I love my dslr – hopefully its an easy fix and it’ll be functioning again by this time tomorrow.  Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, here is the day’s menu recap.

Breakfast was a bagel thin with light cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers.

I took a “new to me” red banana (it looks black in this photo, but it really is more red than black) and some almond milk chai for my morning snack.  I’m ALWAYS on the hunt for new fruits and veg.

The red banana?  GROSS.

Its more like a plantain.  I have three more here at home, so will look up a “healthy plantain” recipe, substitute them in and give it a go.  (and there really is NO way to photograph this banana without being inappropriate.  There, I said it.. :) )

Lunch was a sandwich thin with mustard, chutney and turkey and a cup of split pea soup. (the soup I made a couple of weeks ago, we froze some for lunches)

This afternoon, I had an apple and 1 tbsp peanut butter.

Dinner tonight was a VERY photogenic (damn, I don’t have any batteries for my mini point and shoot so no photo can be taken at all.  Oh wait….I should have used my phone.  Damn.  Next time…) asian lettuce wraps.  (ground turkey, onion, garlic and peppers cooked with hoisin and chinese 5 spice powder – served in lettuce leaves and topped with yam noodles, grated carrot, scallions and cilantro)

Have you ever tried red bananas? Have any of you DSLR users had this auto focus issue happen?  Any suggestions?  I’m all ears….
