Before I start today’s post, HUGE THANK YOU for all the supportive and well wishing comments and emails I received after my “reflective” post yesterday.  I truly appreciate my blog friends and feel very lucky to be part of this community!!!!!

Have any of you noticed a marked increase in spam comments/notes on your sites and in inboxes lately?  I have. A HUGE increase.   (there are some fantastic vintage spam ads on google images!  I couldn’t resist posting one here. Planked Spam?  Oh yeah….break out the grill)

Up to now, most of the spammers offer me stellar deals on coach bags and Louis Vuitton shoes, long stories in a language that looks Eastern European, plenty of off shore money shelters, and bargain cruise offers.   I still get them (LOTS of them) but in the last couple of weeks, I’ve had numerous offers from people who want to be my bride (because at first glance on your site I know you’re a gorgeous man), some who in blunt terms are “smitten with my breasts and want to touch them” and guess what, if I click on links, “my penis will instantly grow three times larger”.  I KNOW!!!!  I’ve been waiting for these offers all my life!!!!!!   NOT!!  OK…all you dozens of spammers every day…..I’m thankfully NOT a gorgeous man, I don’t want to marry you, you can’t touch  my breasts and my penis is quite large enough thank you very much!!!!  You may get through someone else’s firewall from here on in.  :)

There is tons of spam in my life lately, but none on my day’s menu.  This is what I had today:

Breakfast was an english muffin with peanut butter and a banana.

I had a piece of low-fat banana bread (that I made a few days ago) during the morning.

I had lunch with my friend Unita today, we went for sushi.  I had the lunch special, miso soup, a California roll, a spicy tuna roll and a “BC Blaze” roll (with salmon)

Later in the afternoon, I had a cup of blueberries and a non-fat latte.

On the way home from work, I saw a little glimmer of spring.  I worry for these little buds, it was VERY cold (by Vancouver standards) last week, warmed up considerably and rained like crazy in the last few days (I guess that brought these along) and it’s supposed to get colder again next week.  HOPEFULLY the buds are hearty and survive the upcoming frosts.  If not…well, I saw ‘em, so spring is on its way!!  :)

And dinner tonight was a small chicken breast in a multigrain bun with a salad of arugula, blueberries, mushrooms, light feta, tortilla crunchies and Bolthouse honey mustard dressing.

That’s it for the work week for me.  I’m ready for the weekend and my fresh start.  Enjoy the last weekend in January!!
