Before I start today’s post, HUGE THANK YOU for all the supportive and well wishing comments and emails I received after my “reflective” post yesterday. I truly appreciate my blog friends and feel very lucky to be part of this community!!!!!
Have any of you noticed a marked increase in spam comments/notes on your sites and in inboxes lately? I have. A HUGE increase. (there are some fantastic vintage spam ads on google images! I couldn’t resist posting one here. Planked Spam? Oh yeah….break out the grill)

Up to now, most of the spammers offer me stellar deals on coach bags and Louis Vuitton shoes, long stories in a language that looks Eastern European, plenty of off shore money shelters, and bargain cruise offers. I still get them (LOTS of them) but in the last couple of weeks, I’ve had numerous offers from people who want to be my bride (because at first glance on your site I know you’re a gorgeous man), some who in blunt terms are “smitten with my breasts and want to touch them” and guess what, if I click on links, “my penis will instantly grow three times larger”. I KNOW!!!! I’ve been waiting for these offers all my life!!!!!! NOT!! OK…all you dozens of spammers every day…..I’m thankfully NOT a gorgeous man, I don’t want to marry you, you can’t touch my breasts and my penis is quite large enough thank you very much!!!! You may get through someone else’s firewall from here on in.

There is tons of spam in my life lately, but none on my day’s menu. This is what I had today:
Breakfast was an english muffin with peanut butter and a banana.
I had a piece of low-fat banana bread (that I made a few days ago) during the morning.
I had lunch with my friend Unita today, we went for sushi. I had the lunch special, miso soup, a California roll, a spicy tuna roll and a “BC Blaze” roll (with salmon)
Later in the afternoon, I had a cup of blueberries and a non-fat latte.
On the way home from work, I saw a little glimmer of spring. I worry for these little buds, it was VERY cold (by Vancouver standards) last week, warmed up considerably and rained like crazy in the last few days (I guess that brought these along) and it’s supposed to get colder again next week. HOPEFULLY the buds are hearty and survive the upcoming frosts. If not…well, I saw ‘em, so spring is on its way!!
And dinner tonight was a small chicken breast in a multigrain bun with a salad of arugula, blueberries, mushrooms, light feta, tortilla crunchies and Bolthouse honey mustard dressing.
That’s it for the work week for me. I’m ready for the weekend and my fresh start. Enjoy the last weekend in January!!

Yes to the extra spam! I am apparently THE hot topic at family reunions around the globe because half of the spam I get (the non-Louis Vitton/Coach half) is from someone who heard about my amazing, outstanding, stellar blog from his cousin/brother/nephew/etc. I cleared my spam on Thursday, went to lunch, and came back to 40 new messages! It’s enough to drive a person to eat Spam!

Wow! I still just get spam compliments, like “I really savored your website..” or “You’ve inspired me to start my own blog!” My spam hasn’t gone raunchy yet.

Oh UGH! I can’t stand spam! I’ve been getting a lot of crazies in my inbox lately too….some people who are in “need of money in Europe and needs a friend”. So annoying.
I have a co-worker who loves the food spam, and I am going to show him this PLANKED spam. It look so gourmet!

I am getting tons of spam. At least I don’t have to look at it because I use akismet plug in and just gets pushed to the spam box. I just see the number in there. I was telling people the other day that it gets about 1000 spam in that box a day. All for luggage and Ugg boots LOL!

Yup, I have been getting a lot more spam lately, too.
The sushi looks wonderful, as always.

I don’t want to tempt fate, but I haven’t been getting more spam than usual…just a couple each week. Now my gmail spam folder, that’s another story!

Yep, I get tons of spam! That being said, I actually love Spam – my dad used to fry it up on Sunday mornings and make scrambled eggs – total salty goodness!
Enjoy your weekend Roz!

Dad
I saw your snowdrop pictures and wondered why I hadn’t seen an in my yard. I dashed out of the back door and “Voila!” Eight flowers and a few more buds. Exciting!
At the bottom of the yard I found daffodils peeping through the soil, although, of course, there will be no flowers for a while.

Oh yes the Spam is out of control! It’s such a bother but I loved the fun you poked at it here as it made me chuckle!

Blogger does a pretty good job for me and throws most of the comment spam into a folder where I can just delete it. My email accounts are getting lots of it too, but again it goes to a spam folder. I guess if one uses the internet, it’s a hazard!

I’ve had to set my comments to be moderated because I just don’t want others to have to read it!
Now for real spam my hubs loves it! Me not so much
