Extendo birthday

My birthday is October 1st.  My hairdresser/friend Patty’s birthday is October 1st.  Since last October, we’ve been talking about getting together to celebrate our birthdays.  But then, vacations happened, and real life happened, and the holidays happened…and now it’s January, and we finally celebrated!  More on that in a sec….

I had a busy, errand filled day today.  Dennis and I were up early, Neva on the other hand, was not.

We started the day off with a Roz McMuffin (an english muffin with an egg, 1 oz light cheese, hot sauce and arugula), grapefruit and an almond milk latte.  (and no, our home wasn’t on fire in the background of the photo , we flipped the gas fireplace on this morning because it was cold)

While I was out and about I not only got a lot accomplished, I found a little park I’d never been to before – because I found a parking spot on the road beside it.  (not to be cocky, but I think I did the best parallel park of my life there….I squeezed our car into a tiny spot on my first attempt.  That doesn’t happen too often for me, and who knows how many years I’ll be driving before I can accomplish that again. )  Here are a few shots of the park that I took as I walked through.

I grabbed some “to go” sushi while I was out, a spicy tuna roll and a vegetable with mango roll.

We split an antipasto plate to start. (it had crostini with pate, prosciutto, salami, olives, pickled fennel, and peppers)

My dinner was ling cod on angel hair pasta that had seafood and bok choy mixed in.  So good.
