I wish I could tell you I’d done something stupendous, exciting or earth shattering today….but that would be a lie. I came VERY close to having a “pajama day”. (I was fortunate and had a bonus holiday day today) I DID get dressed for a while, went out and got a bit of fresh air, and took some cherry blossom shots. Here are just three of the zillion I took.
And one with a “guest bee”.
Other than that…I did a little reading, folded a bit of laundry, and did some pre-surgical studying of daytime TV. :) I think for a couple of weeks, Anderson Cooper will become my friend! Well, not just him, Ellen and Stephen & Chris, Canada’s answer to Martha Stewart, Nate Berkus and Dr. Phil all rolled up into one (well, two actually) will be my “friends” too. Silly….
I did make a nice breakfast with leftover ham from last night, scrambled eggs and weight watchers cinnamon raisin toast. (that later had some of my home-made apple butter on top). I also had an almond milk latte, and a smoothie made with almond milk, 1/2 banana and about 1 cup frozen blackberries.
Dennis and I split some crackers, lean sausage and light cheddar for lunch. We also made a pot of coffee….I had two easter kisses with that.
Dinner tonight was a “use what we have” meal. I had some whole wheat vermicelli, leftover marinara sauce from the freezer, a couple of tbsp pesto, some spinach and some lean meatballs (also from the freezer). I topped it with 1 tbsp parmesan and we had whole wheat rolls alongside.
After I publish there, there is a good chance (ok, it’s a given) I’ll have 1/2 cup low-fat maple-walnut frozen yogurt. (it’s new, and was one of the things that distracted me at the grocery store the other day, preventing me from remembering what I’d gone in there for in the first place.
It’s been a great long weekend. I’m a little in denial that “reality” will set in again tomorrow. However….all good things come to an end.

That said, all BAD things come to an end, and I’m sooo ready for some “good news” (we seem to be around alot of bad news lately). I HIGHLY doubt the weight watchers scale will show me good news tomorrow. Because of that, I will likely go to weight watchers to catch up with Melisa and get some motivation, but may choose to bury my head in the sand and do a “blind weigh in”. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow. In the meantime, we’ll try to make our own good news, and find some fun every day. Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Aren’t those heavy gorgeous blossoms! Only one bee. Sigh. Another couple weeks our cherries will be in bloom. We will probably be gone for it. I hope the bees feast. I worry.
Good news is your foot will soon be fixed and you will have Ellen to cheer you on. In fact while you are all feet up and bored go to youtube and put in Ellen’s dance dare. At least you will get an ab workout.
Next week is going to be a terrific WW week!

Love the first few pictures of that tree! We used to have a tree like that next to the house we lived in, in the USA.
It was so nice!
That frozen yogurt sounds delish!

The cherry blossoms are beautiful!
I didn’t do anything yesterday either (had a day off too) because it rained and rained and rained and rained. Not even dry for 5 minutes yesterday.

A “plain” day is always fun, too! Great for rejuvenating the body and spirit!

I love when the trees bloom like that. The wind has ripped the blossoms off the trees in my neighborhood for the last two years, and this year they were looking so hopeful, and the city came and cut all the branches off. I’m pretty heartbroken about it.
