Yoga was REALLY good this morning. Don’t know where all my fellow yogis were, there were only 3 of us at class (there are usually about 10), so we all had pretty personalized instruction. It was quite the workout, particularly for the muscles in my legs. (and for the record, I did NOT and likely never will do the pose depicted in the google image below! But it caught my eye…..and I like the “ohm” symbol on the graphic.)

After class, I had breakfast at my desk. It was a lemon/blueberry muffin, a small container of greek yogurt and some fruit. Like the new mascot? This is “Toro”!
I met my friend Sally for lunch today. We went to our usual sushi restaurant. I had a healthy, brown rice vegetable roll, which came with this sunomono salad.
A spicy tuna roll, and some tuna sashimi.
Unfortunately, I did a “blogger faux pas” and forgot to photograph the sashimi. (we were too busy yack, yack, yacking…), so here’s what the sashimi LIKELY looked like a couple of days ago.
And here is what it looked similar to on the plate (thank you google images for BOTH before pictures.)
and here is the plate AFTER I ate it. OOOPS!!!!!!
Later in the afternoon, I snacked on a few cherry tomatoes and a couple of pieces of cucumber as well as one of my two point ginger/oatmeal cookies. (which have dried out quite a bit – but nothing a couple of seconds in the microwave won’t cure!)
As Dennis and I BOTH went out for lunch today, we decided to just have some lentil soup and toast for dinner. I put a bit of fat-free cream cheese and arugula on my toast, and also sliced a tomato with basil and balsamic squeeze.
We have one heck of a storm blowing right now, so I’m going to batten down the hatches, make a cup of tea and call it a night. G’night all! Hope your weeks are all going well.

If my lunches out were healthy like that, I would eat out for lunch more often! Sadly, we’ve got a diner and a ton of fast food around…that’s about it!

Actually did you know that sushi is not “fresh.” Itis caught and frozen at -minus 90F or something to kill all the tape worms, etc. that fish have. The frozen product is then sold to Sushi restaurants. I kind you not!

That veggie roll looks yummy! I tried out a veggie roll not too long ago and was super disappointed. I am hoping to find a tasty one one of these days.

I am so envious of your wonderful places to get that lovely and FRESH sushi and sashimi! I guess that what happens when you live in the middle of the country like I do as opposed to an end close to the ocean. lol

I am not a fan of sushi, I know, I know. One of the few who don’t care for it.

I do believe you may be banned from blogging due to your faux pax. I LOVE brown rice sushi and it is more challenging to find.
